ECO - Driving

Opimize gear shift / transmission usage

Eco-driving consists of a series of good habits that help the driver lower the vehicles fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
Opimize gear shift / transmission usage

Manual transimssion

Start slowly, include more shifts without delays. When accelerating, switch gears as soon as possible.

All our vehicles with manual transmission (in automatic and robotized transmission vehicles, gear shift warnings appear only in manual mode) are equipped with a gear shift up suggestion system (VW, Škoda, SEAT, Audi even with a gear shift lower suggestion system) – act in accordance to this system as soon as it appears on the instrument panel. You will drive in the optimal engine rotation range which will result in a lover fuel consumption level. This suggestion will appear in between 1500 and 2500 rotations. In any case, you do not need to consider this suggestion as mandatory. The current situation on the road, and your safety are the key factors in shifting gears (driving uphill, overtaking another vehicle etc…)

Automatic or robotized transmision

With these transmissions, use automatic mode as much as possible (in automatic transmission keep the gear shift knob in D, and at robotized in A), without intensely and suddenly pushing the gas pedal.
